Children

The heartbeat of HDC Kids is to Partner with parents in preparing their children to change their worlds for Christ.

Each weekend we journey with pre-school and elementary kids through the Bible, discovering how God’s plan of redemption, from Genesis to Revelation, still compels us to join the mission of God today. With fun and meaningful worship, engaging activities and interactive small groups, kids experience the amazing story of God in a safe and secure environment.

For the younger children, our staff works hard to build a safe, loving and nurturing environment for your child. Warm and familiar faces will welcome your child each weekend, where we play, sing, pray and creatively teach the Bible with lots of hands-on activities that always point the children to Jesus and His saving grace.

It is our prayer that we can be a support to you and your family through every stage of your child’s life. We also acknowledge that we only interact with your children for one hour each week. Because of that, we want to partner with you and the spiritual leadership you provide for your home. Each week, you will have access to helpful tools and resources, explaining what your child learned about, and also ideas for some fun and creative activities that you can share together as a family.

When should I arrive?

In an ideal world, arriving about 20 minutes before the service you plan on attending is best. If you arrive closer to the service start time, your kids won’t miss a thing. Arriving early will give you some extra time to find our HDC Kids areas.

How do I drop off my kids?

If this is your first time attending one of our HDC campuses, you’ll want to visit one of our assisted kiosks so one of our HDC Kids Volunteers can get your information entered. After you have been added to the system, you can check in with your phone number and select each of the kids that will be checking in. We will print out three labels for your kids. One for our check-in roster, one you keep until you pick up your kids, and one name tag that includes any allergy information we should be aware of.

Are my kids safe?

All teachers are required to submit to a thorough background check. In addition, all teacher helpers must attend training.

What do my kids do?

While your kids are with us they will get to hang out with other kids their age, hear an engaging Bible story and talk with a leader about that story as well as play a game, do a craft and some weeks have a snack. All of the activities are centered around reinforcing the Bible truths they’ve learned.

How do I pick up my kids?

Picking up your kids is similar to dropping them off–just head to the area where you dropped your kids off. We collect the third label that was printed in order to confirm that you are the approved person to pick up your child. Have your ticket ready and present it to the HDC Volunteer working in the check out station.

Wellness Policy

For the health of all of our children, please do not bring your children to class if they exhibit any signs of fever, vomiting, the onset of a cold, rash, pink eye, etc.
