If you’re a people-person, then the Welcome Ministry is for you. We have three specialized sub groups of the Welcome Ministry. They are:
GREETING - Harbor Greeters are a team that arrives 1/2 hour before service to greet attenders as they arrive with a friendly smile and welcoming handshake. They are the first glance at HDC that attenders will get, so greeters should love to interact with people. In addition, they may need to direct new visitors to areas on the campus that they are unfamiliar with.
USHERING – Harbor Ushers help people find seating during the worship services, hand out sermon notes, collect
the offering, serve communion, and help with any general needs that people may have. They should arrive 1/2 hour before service, so they will be at their posts as attenders arrive.
WELCOME TABLE – Welcome Table Volunteers serve before and stay after services to talk with new believers, answer general questions about HDC and are there for those who may need encouraging words.
Requirements are: regular HDC Harbor service attendance, Ozone 1 & 2, application, picture, and a short interview
