Biblical Archaeology (10 wks) Jim Battenfield, Instructor
This is a survey of the science and art of the archaeology of the Bible Lands, together with a sketch of their history, geography and topography, designed to provide a background for Bible study and apologetics.  Students will learn the supreme relevance of the archaeological context of the Ancient Near East: today’s Iraq, Egypt, Syria, Israel, Jordan and Greece. Students will appreciate the Bible’s history and geography, with a view to applying timeless truth to their lives today.  Class time will emphasize the biblical worldview, the Ancient Near Eastern background, and the reality of the lives of the Patriarchs, leading to Jesus Christ, the Messiah, in the New Testament.
