What is your job title?

Classic Community Lead Pastor

 

What do you do at HDC?

I am the Lead Pastor for the Classic Community, oversee the Men's Ministry, and help teach various Ozone, Spritual Formation, and Lifepath classes. I am also involved in pastoral counseling on a weekly basis.

 

What is on your iPod?

I regularly download the sermons of Mark Driscoll (Mars Hill, Seattle), Mike Erre (Rock Harbor, Costa Mesa), Francis Chan  (Cornerstone, Simi Valley), Andy Stanley (North Point, Atlanta), and John Piper (Bethlehem Baptist, Minneapolis). On the music end, I listen to Chris Tomlin, Everybody Duck (Mike Day's old band), Petra (Jeff Crandall's favorite band), Todd Proctor/Rock Harbor worship, and Jars of Clay. I use my Ipod a lot as I try to do a lot of walking for my health!

 

In your opinion, what is the greatest movie of all time?

I have great memories of watching Anne of Green Gables with my daughters and Rocky movies with my boys!

What is your favorite book?

Recently I was enthralled with a four book series by Joel Rosenberg--The Last Jihad, The Last Days, The Ezekiel Option, and The Copper Scroll.

On a beautiful day I like to…

...take long walks with my lovely wife of 28 years at the beach. We love to have our children and granddaughter join us in this when they can. Our other favorite on such days is to golf together.
