Little Compromise, Big Redemption
I attended Seven on Feb. 18, the kickoff of the current series Seven
Deadly Sins. I wanted to share how truly blessed I was to hear such
a straightforward message addressing the struggles of sex and how the
world has embraced it as such a casual action. I am 21, single and
14 weeks pregnant... and my boyfriend of 3 years, who grew up walking
with God and is a Bible College graduate is now a barely noticeable
blip on the radar screen of my life due to the blindness sin has
wrapped him up in. A little compromise here and little compromise
there are what leads to a full blown lifestyle of sin. After not too
long, the little compromises don't cut it anymore, and bigger
compromises fill their place. God is clear about blessing the union
of two under His set-up for marriage, but it is important to realize
that it's for our protection as well as His glory! I want to
encourage anyone struggling with or already in the net that ensnares
us, God can and will raise you above the miry clay that the world
sets as acceptable when you focus your eyes on Him and accept your
own weaknesses. He gives grace to the humble and His grace is
sufficient! God knows our needs before we do and the battle has
already been won for us... Jesus claimed the victory on the cross and
extended it to us!
