He Opens The Door

My name is Brandon Kuiper. I am a student at UCLA and recently
pledged Alpha Gamma Omega which is the national Christ-Centered
Fraternity.
    Recently, we had elections in our Fraternity for a few House
positions that were opening up. I had been asked by the Fraternity
President to consider running for Chaplain. I agreed to do it, but
at the same time felt I was already too overwhelmed. I prayed for
several weeks before elections and had come to the point where I
simply said, "Lord your will be done. Please, if you want me to be
Chaplain, make this an obvious decision for me."
    The night of elections, I was in a pool with two other very
qualified candidates, one the incumbent Chaplain. My two brothers
spoke before me and both proclaimed that they felt led to pull out of
the race. I had told nobody of what I felt God was leading me to do,
but on that night, He paved the way for me to become Chaplain
unopposed. I gave my speech and told my Brothers how God had led me
to this position despite my reluctance and fear. As I spoke to them,
I felt the Holy Spirit moving within me and I delivered a powerful
speech that motivated the House to Change Our Worlds For Christ! I
had nothing to do with what was said that night, it was God speaking
through me.
    I look forward to seeing how God is going to use me in my new
role to bring others to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ at UCLA.
